NOKIA Bell Labs Student Award

By submitting their work, applicants become eligible for the following feedback, recognition and awards:

All submitters

Bell Labs researchers review all submissions and give the authors feedback on the technical content, originality and presentation of the work. The feedback is both a learning opportunity and could be considered to improve the quality for the next round.

Invited presenters
Authors of notable work will be invited to actively participate at the Nokia Bell Labs Future X Day, October 9, 2018 in Budapest.
All invited presenters will have the opportunity to present their poster as part of our exhibition at the Nokia Bell Labs Future X Day. They also receive a written certificate which confirms and recognizes their nomination as “Invited Presenter” for the Nokia Bell Labs Student Award.

Finalists

Three finalists are selected by the jury. The finalists are invited to present their work on stage in front of the entire audience. The finalists are expected to give a 5 minutes pitch and answer questions from the audience.

The finalists will receive a written certificate which confirms and recognizes their selection as finalist for the Nokia Bell Labs Student Award.

Winner

The winner will be awarded a statue of plaque, a written certificate nominating him/her as “Winner” of the Nokia Bell Labs Student Award and a Nokia smartphone. The winner also receives detailed feedback on the submitted work and will receive professional support from dedicated Bell Labs researchers in further evolving it.
