Julie Bentley

Julie started her legal career in 1981 in Australia, progressing from junior legal secretary through to Fellowship of the Institute of Legal Executives, while completing a law degree and Articles of Clerkship. This led to Julie attaining admission to practise in Australia in 2001, and subsequently in England and Wales in 2004.

Before relocating back to the United Kingdom, Julie owned and operated a successful general legal practice in Australia called Bentleys.  Since relocation to the UK in 2011, Julie has practised in-house as Head of Legal at the Woodland Trust and The Royal Society of Chemistry, providing general legal advice, but with specific focus on legacy administration and Restricted Funds management.

Having gained an extensive and well-rounded professional experience during the past 37 years, Julie now practises law on a consultancy basis, and provides legacy administration services through Legacy Link.

Julie specialises in providing legal advice relating to the administration and management of restricted Trust Funds, including conducting detailed reviews of Charity endowment funds in order to identify their origin and application and maximise the overall benefit to the Charity.
