2017 Annual Conference
Savannah, Georgia
For nearly three centuries, visitors have ventured to the Georgia coast, lured by a sultry Southern belle named Savannah.
With her unique blend of history, elegance and charm, it's no wonder Condé Nast Traveler Magazine named her a “Top 10 American Travel Destination.

With its pedestrian-friendly layout and innovative urban design, Savannah serves as a balm for the senses. The city of Savannah inspires visitors with its emerald tree canopy, quaint cobblestone streets and majestic architecture. Take the time to wander off the beaten path and experience the history, beauty and charm of this beloved coastal city.

The Westin Savannah Harbor, host hotel to TVPPA's 71st Annual Conference, sits directly across the river and only a short, enjoyable boat shuttle to the bustling riverwalk area. There you'll find an amazing number of restaurants, shops and attractions.

Be a little more adventurous and head further into Savannah – just a block from the river she provides even more to do and see. Whether you are looking to enjoy coastal cuisine, local artistry or simply take a stroll, there's something for everyone and you won't want to miss this opportunity!

Be sure to tour the city’s historic waterways, squares, mansions, forts and historic sites. Visit Revolutionary and Civil War landmarks. Take a riverboat ride or a dolphin tour from River Street. Investigate the paranormal in “America’s Most Haunted City.” From walking tours to trolley tours, there are so many ways to learn about Savannah. With the famed River Street along the Savannah River, City Market in the heart of the Historic District and Forsyth Park at the south end of the Historic District, Savannah has more than enough for visitors to see. Victorian homes, historic forts, hidden cemeteries and more than a dozen squares filled with monuments and fountains are some of the sights you can see on a motorized tour of the city. Trolleys, segways and busses each offer a great way to see all Savannah has to offer.

Savannah has a long American history and you'll find, at nearly every step of the way, an amazing juxtapose between old and new. You'll find yourself looking at the variety of architecture and scenery – seeing the old while, at the same time, planted in the new. The old, rock faced buildings are sometimes dwarfed by large, container ships coming in from the Atlantic. Take a look around – you'll want to make Savannah a regular stop in your future travels.
