Outstanding Contribution Award
An undisputed star in the field of arbitration, Emmanuel Gaillard is the founder and head of Shearman & Sterling's market-leading International Arbitration group. He is revered for his experience in both commercial and investment treat arbitration, and also acts as arbitrator and expert witness.  Gaillard’s outstanding contribution to the legal profession further continues in academic work; acting as Professor of Law at Sciences Po Law School and visiting Professor of Law at Yale Law School. Gaillard’s celebrity status extends beyond the court room walls and in 2014 he was once again the only lawyer to be named in Vanity Fair France's list of the '50 Most Influential French People in the World'.

Outstanding Contribution Award - Diversity
In January 2015, Chambers and Partners launched Chambers Diversity, an extension of our successful Chambers Women in Law initiative led by Global Diversity Editor, Dee Sekar.  Covering the UK, Europe, Asia, USA and Latin America, the programme will be unearthing the most outstanding lawyers who have shown a real commitment to advancing diversity in the law.  We are delighted to announce that the winner of our inaugural Chambers Europe Outstanding Achievement to Diversity award. Lesley Wan is Corporate Real Estate Counsel of Lloyds Banking Group. Lesley is pro-actively involved in various community and charity initiatives, both personally and in her professional capacity. In 2012, she created Through the Looking Glass programme to inspire talented young students from less affluent areas to realise their potential, and currently leads Breakthrough - a highly successful mentoring scheme for Lloyds Banking Group’s women’s network.
