Health care is a critical social, economic and managerial concern for government, business, nonprofits and individuals.  Health care expenditures constitute nearly 20% of U.S. GDP and as such, health care is the largest economic sector and touches on nearly every other.  Health care management involves ensuring the highest quality outcomes while also providing broad-based access and doing so in an efficient and cost-effective fashion.  In this third annual Research Insights Symposium on The Future of Health Care Management, we will explore the range of economic, technological, medicinal, and ethical challenges in the management of health care.

Health care management is the collective responsibility of health care providers, insurers and other reimbursement organizations, government agencies and regulators, academic and industry researchers, innovative companies, and many other stakeholders.  As such, it is a complex and intricate system and requires careful evaluation and assessment in order to achieve the best possible outcomes with limited resources.

In this half day symposium, presenters from leading universities, research organizations and providers will explore how to broaden access to health care through education, outreach, and behavioral change and how to improve outcomes and manage costs through technology, data and innovation.  They will share thought leadership on how health care management can be improved to provide greater efficacy, access, and efficiency and enhance the health and well-being of all.
