Kenya

All foreign visitors traveling to Kenya, including infants and children, must obtain an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before their journey. Apply online at least 72 hours before departure. 

Key Travel Requirements
  • eTA Application: All travelers must complete an application on the official eTA portal. A selfie/passport photo and credit card for payment are needed for the eTA application.
  • Passport: Must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry and have at least two blank pages.
  • Proof of Travel: A return or onward ticket is required.
  • Accommodation: Proof of hotel booking or address where you will be staying is required.
  • Health: Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if arriving from an endemic country.
  • Processing Time: It is recommended to apply well in advance, though the official portal states it should be done at least 72 hours before travel. 
  • Duration: The eTA is generally for tourism or business stays up to 90 days.

Travel and Transfers

Airport

The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport - commonly known as JKIA and identified by the code NBO - is Kenya’s main international airport. It serves Nairobi as the city’s principal aviation gateway for international travel, domestic connections and regional flights.

JKIA is approximately 21 KMs from the conference venue, the Safari Park Hotel. The trip between the airport and the hotel would take about 35 minutes.

Transfers

You can book your airport transfers as soon as you have your confirmed itinerary.
