ABOUT ACCM

Arts, Culture & Creativity Month (ACCM) is CA for the Arts’ annual month-long celebration of the arts, held every April since 2019. Each year, we introduce new statewide activations and celebrations of the arts through programming and advocacy tools. The State of California recognizes Arts, Culture & Creativity Month with an official resolution, and cities and counties across the state honor it with local proclamations and community celebrations.

The goal of ACCM is to increase visibility and awareness of our sector's value, empower arts advocates to engage elected officials, and promote greater investment in our industry and creative workforce. This is achieved through two primary events: the CA Arts & Culture Summit and Arts Advocacy Day at the Capitol, along with a series of advocacy toolkits designed to support grassroots civic engagement and public awareness through channels of communication.

In 2026, ACCM will be guided by the theme Boundless  Culture & Creativity: The Essence of Freedom, with the sub-theme Building Joy, Action + Power.
