About the Event

Due to the instant success and popularity of the newest education session format at the 2025 International Convention, the Toastmasters Journey Workshops will be back at the 2026 International Convention to be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, Canada, with all new topics chosen by attendees and potential speakers. This is your chance to be on stage to moderate, speak, and/or be part of a panel on a Toastmasters topic for 10-15 minutes on a day to be determined between August 19-22, 2026, and share your Toastmasters expertise while you inspire other Toastmasters!

Approximate Timeline

• Interest Forms Accepted—October 2025 through March 2026
• Moderators/Speakers Selected—April 2026 through May 2026
• Moderators/Speakers Contacted—June 2026

Speaker Eligibility

• No active Club Growth Directors, Program Quality Directors, or District Directors will be considered
• No current candidates nor candidates for the 2026-2028 term will be considered
• No Semifinalists will be considered

Moderator/Speaker Expectations

• Participate in online pre-meetings (generally 1 or 2)
• Available for onsite tech check the week of the event
• Speak at 1-2 workshops, likely to be repeated
• Provide any PowerPoint slides at least 3 weeks in advance of the event

Attire

Speakers are expected to dress professionally. Typically, this means blazers for both men and women. No ties are needed.  Appropriate business dresses are also great.

Convention Registration

If you are selected to speak at convention, you will receive a discounted in-person convention registration ticket or a complimentary day pass for the day you speak. Any additional travel, lodging, meals, etc., will not be included. 

Due to the longer timeline of the workshop selection process and limited presenters selected, we encourage you to register for the onsite convention as an in-person attendee. If selected, we will contact you with additional information and to update your registration.
