The Power of Me Workshop: Ignite Your Personal Agency as a Seniors’ Care Leader

Wed., April 22, 2026
9:15 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. EST

Members $300 | Non-Members $350

Rising resident acuity, workforce challenges and increasing operational demands are part of the regular menu for seniors’ care leaders. This workshop offers a reflective step back from the day-to-day and an opportunity to identify and cultivate the skills that reduce decision-making fatigue and strengthen selective attention. Presented through three “chapters,” with related interactive exercises, the session will share practical and science-based strategies to transform the familiar feeling of being “too busy” into leadership that feels more grounded, focused and ready to support a culture where people and performance thrive.

*Participants are asked to complete a confidential personality self-assessment sent prior to Convention and bring their results to work with privately during the session.

Unleash: Identify and neutralize internal and external “blockers” that erode focus, contribute to mental overload and fuel chronic stress in the workplace.
Amplify: Learn to activate proven triggers across psychological, physiological, and environmental dimensions to achieve a state of “flow,” where focus, clarity, and effortless decision-making align.
Integrate: Channel your heightened focus into operational excellence and strategic optimization by applying cognitive tools such as the Zeigarnik Effect, the Eisenhower Matrix , and the Pareto Principle to elevate quality, service, and innovation within the long-term and seniors’ care environment.
Prepare for this session through an optional self-assessment distributed prior to the workshop.
