As a customer, are my hotel and flight expenses covered?
If you are a local customer that is driving to the event, we are happy to cover the cost of your parking at the event venue.
If you are a customer traveling more than 50 miles from the event location, Connection will cover your hotel stay for the dates of this event. If you are traveling more than 100 miles, flight expenses for this event will be covered. In certain cases additional approval may be required. Airfare covered is for the event dates only, should you choose to arrive earlier or stay longer you will be responsible for your own travel and accommodations. Certain exceptions may apply and will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Hotel stays are covered for Wednesday and Thursday evenings only. Please be sure to respond to any emails received from American Express Global Business Travel. If you have not received an email within 5 business days, please check your junk mail folder.
We understand that some clients are required to fund their own travel and/or hotel and we are happy to assist with that. Please contact Melissa O'Connor.
What is not covered?
Connection does not reimburse for checked bag fees, personal vehicle mileage, car rentals or public transportation costs. Any costs incurred for parking at your home airport or food and beverages while traveling to/from the event are not covered. If you are staying at the event venue you will be asked to present a credit card for all incidental charges.
I requested a hotel room, but have not received a confirmation number?
Hotel confirmation numbers will be emailed to you by Connection’s Events Team one week prior to the event.
How will my flight arrangements be handled?
A representative from our Travel Agency will reach out to you within 5 business days to make your flight arrangements. The Travel Agency will reach out via email, please be sure to check your junk mail folder for emails from American Express Global Business Travel. Expect your flight email to come from: us.t4mexecgrouptravel@amexgbt.com. You will need to approve the flight before AMEX will ticket you.
When will I find out about transportation?
If you are a customer that has arranged a flight through our Travel Agency, round trip transportation will be provided to/from the airport if it is not already included in your hotel stay (for event dates only, does not apply to guests who extend their stay). Connection’s Events Team will provide all transportation details one week prior to the event. You will receive a confirmation email regarding your airport transfer from info@grace.com—please be sure to allow this email to pass through your spam filter.
