Collecting the Stories Behind 50 Years of NCSG

Across the chimney and venting industry, there are moments that stick. In many cases, those stories are shared informally, passed along in conversation or revisited years later. They are part of the industry’s history, but they are not often documented.

Those memories are what the Guild is starting to collect.

National Chimney Sweep Guild members are invited to submit stories from any point in their careers, whether tied to a specific NCSG event, program, or simply a moment that stayed with them. Over time, these submissions will help create a more complete record of the Guild's first 50 years. They will provide a clearer view of how the industry has evolved and highlight the people who shaped it along the way.

The collection effort is already underway and will continue leading up to the 50th anniversary NCSG Convention in Spring 2027.
