GCMAS 2026 | Call for Tutorials and Special Sessions

The Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society (GCMAS) is pleased to invite proposals for tutorials and special sessions to be presented at the 2026 GCMAS Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held June 9-13 at the Creighton University Health Science Center in Phoenix, Arizona (USA).

Creative proposals in all areas of clinical movement analysis are welcome.  All proposals will be reviewed, and 2-4 will be selected for the program. The 2026 Program Committee encourages, but does not limit, submissions in the following areas:

  • Sports and upper extremity applications.
  • Innovative approaches to clinical decision-making (e.g. machine learning, AI-driven solutions).
  • Non-traditional techniques and methodology for motion capture and gait analysis.
  • Best practices for motion lab operation.

Guidelines for Proposals:
Tutorials will be 90 minutes in length. Proposals for tutorials or special sessions should include the following:

  • Title
  • Presenter(s)
  • Intended audience
  • Prerequisite knowledge
  • Learning objectives
  • Abstract
  • Outline of the session content

The outline should be specific, detailing the amount of time to be spent on each topic. Please limit proposals to two double-spaced pages (Times New Roman 12-pt font).

Submission Timeline:
The deadline for submission is Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST. Notification of acceptance is expected by December 1, 2025.

Compensation:
Each selected session will be provided one free registration to the 2026 annual meeting.
