What You Need to Know

St. Paul

Saint Paul is a walkable historic river city with 26 miles of Mississippi Riverfront - more than any other city on the iconic River. Home to the Minnesota State Capitol along with many of the state’s most storied institutions – the Cathedral of Saint Paul, world class museums and a long list of colleges and universities – the city is full of sophisticated cultural experiences. Saint Paul boasts the nation’s #2-rated park system including over 180 parks and the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. Stroll along Summit Avenue, the longest stretch of preserved Victorian architecture in the United States (find F. Scott Fitzgerald’s birthplace) and cruise the Mississippi River with more miles of riverfront in Saint Paul than any other city. Through festivals, tours, landmarks and cuisine, a mosaic of cultures is celebrated in Saint Paul. And sports fans will find plenty to cheer about at CHS Field, home to Triple-A St Paul Saints baseball, Allianz Field, playing field for Major League Soccer’s Minnesota United and the home ice of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild and PWHL's 2-time Walter Cup winning Minnesota Frost.

Purple Rain Dinner Experience: Formerly Known as the Un-Banquet

Get ready to immerse yourself in an evening inspired by the legendary artist, Prince! We invite you to join us on Thursday, September 11th for a night that celebrates Minnesota's vibrant 1980s music scene and all things purple. Dust off your most fabulous Prince-inspired attire, or simply don your favorite shade of purple, and prepare for an evening of incredible food, iconic music, and fantastic company.

Suggested Dress

Early fall in St. Paul is mostly mild weather. Check out the weather forecast here. The evenings can cool down, as can indoor spaces with air conditioning. Trying to find a room temperature at which everyone can be comfortable is nearly impossible. Therefore, we highly recommend you bring a sweater and light jacket and dress in layers so you can adjust accordingly.

CLE

Due to differences in State requirements, WICSEC is not identifying which workshops may be eligible for CLE. ALL workshops will have a sign-in sheet to prove attendance. In order to obtain CLE credit with your state bar association, you will need to self-report your CLE hours. Please contact your state bar association with any questions.

Scholarships

The scholarship deadline was May 30, 2025. We are excited to award 4 in-person full scholarships and one 'registration only' Honorary Lifetime Member (HLM) scholarship. Scholarships cover registration, hotel, and a stipend towards travel expenses. The 2025 Scholarship recipients will be announced soon!
