Men on the Move is a men's clothing closet where community members receive clothing to fit their needs for: job interviews, position change for current employment, or events and activities that require professional attire. They provided professional clothing to 1,100 individuals this past fiscal year, and it is only through these types of donations that they can continue to serve the community.
Men on the Move predominantly serves men, but they will happily accept women’s clothing as well. Currently they are in need of belts, shoes, dress shirts, winter coats and pants. Full suits, jackets, ties, and sweaters are also appreciated. In addition, donations of recreational clothes (jeans, sweatshirts, t-shirts, athletic jackets, and socks) are welcome as these can be more useful to some of their clients who have more labor-intensive jobs.
You can support the Men on the Move’s clothing closet by donating any of the above-mentioned items (in any size)! Simply bring your donations with you to the IDCA Annual Meeting & Seminar (September 18-19, 2025). All donated items should be in good condition and clean. If you’re interested in making a cash donation, please make checks out to the Evelyn K. Davis Center (with “Men on the Move” in the memo line) and it will go directly to the clothing closet operations.
