The Impact of DEI Programs in Higher Education | CPAR Hill Briefing Webinar (November 2024)

This panel discussion explores the critical role of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and how recent legislative changes impact students, staff, and higher education institutions as a whole.

Over the past three years, DEI initiatives have been subject to unprecedented shifts in policy:

  • 100+ legislative bills have been proposed across 44 states to limit or restrict DEI programs in higher education.
  • Eight states have already passed laws prohibiting the use of public funds for DEI initiatives, directly impacting not only students of color but also veterans, first-generation students, and many others who depend on these essential resources for academic success.

This webinar breaks down these changes and provides actionable insights on how to continue championing inclusion despite evolving challenges.
