Community Learning and Engagement for Impactful Service Learning

In this year's service learning pre-conference sessions, we'll explore the HOW of authentic community engagement, from creating and sustaining reciprocal community partnership to designing learning experiences and assessments that are varied, multimodal, dynamic, and that result in deep engagement and learning. Facilitated by members of the AISA Service Learning Design Team, this pre-conference experience will include practical ideas, tools, and resources. It will also create a rich opportunity for service learning leaders and educators to network, collaborate, and share.

Strengthening the Foundations: A Symposium for Student Support Leaders

Building a strong, sustainable Student Support Services (SSS) program starts with connection, clarity, and a shared understanding of what's possible. This full-day pre-conference symposium offers student support leaders across AISA schools the space to step out of the day-to-day and reconnect with the why behind the work. Through interactive discussions, case study analysis, and collaborative learning, participants will explore the foundational elements of effective SSS departments - from vision and values to structure, staffing, and school-wide collaboration. Whether you're launching a new program, refining an existing one, or simply looking to learn from peers, this session is designed to build both the mindset and the community needed to lead this work well.  

Shaping the Future of Child Protection & Safeguarding: Utilising the 2nd Edition of the AISA CP Handbook to Navigate Emerging Challenges

Child protection and safeguarding in international schools are constantly evolving, with new challenges emerging- from digital risks to complex political environments that test a school's ability to foster a culture of safety, particularly for its most vulnerable students. The AISA 2025 Pre-Conference will take a case study approach to explore key topics such as governance and leadership, low-level concerns, and managing allegations against staff. Participants will engage with the newly released AISA child protection handbook, gaining hands-on experience with its policy templates and tools to enhance response strategies and scenario planning. Aspiring Leaders: Developing Your Personal Leadership Vision

This workshop is targeted for those who wish to develop and extend their leadership journey.
