Kigali, Lake Muhazi & Akagera Safari Experience

Day 1

Start your day with a guided visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial followed by a visit to the Museum Ingabo, the first private museum in Rwanda, established by a Rwandan Artist King Ngabo. You will then depart in the afternoon to the Mantis Akagera Game Lodge, an eco-luxury retreat perched above Lake Ihema.

Day 2

Begin with an early morning Akagera Safari Adventure and Continue eastward to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only Big Five reserve. Here you will spot elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalo, leopards, and herds of antelope, giraffe, and zebra roaming the plains. Finally, head back to Kigali.

Hike through bamboo-covered slopes to encounter these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus, an innovative conservation center adjacent to the park and end your journey with a taste of Rwanda’s heritage at Virunga Distillery, located in the volcanic foothills of the Virunga Mountains.
