Getting to the Conference
From Reno Tahoe Airport (RNO):
1. Ride with one of our UC Davis Airport shuttle vans at Reno/Sacramento airport. Send us your arrrival time and flight information at least a week in advance of the conference to accommodate shuttle schedules. The shuttles are only available on Sunday August 10, and Thursday August 14.
2. North Lake Tahoe Express

- Book as early as possible, at least 24 hours in advance, so they can see if there are others who are traveling in the same time frame.

Getting Around
Granlibakken is about 1.5 miles from Tahoe City along busy roads. We don't recommend walking!
Free bus service for North Tahoe and Truckee area
Tahoe Area Regional Transit (TART) provides free bus transportation in the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee area. Bus schedules change seasonally and can be found on the TART website or using Google Maps’ public transit directions.
Free in-town rideshare service
Free local on-demand transportation within the greater Tahoe City area (from Tahoma to Dollar Point) is available seasonally with TART Connect. You can arrange a TART Connect pickup in as little as 15 minutes using the TART Connect app (download for iOS or Android) or by calling 530-214-5811.

Average August Weather
In August nights can cool down to 40°F so make sure to have a sweater and jacket. Daytime temperatures however are in the low 80s°F and days - perfect weather for any kind of outdoor activity. There is a chance of rain and weather can change suddenly in the Sierra. Check the weather as the date of the conference approaches.
