TARC is a biennial international conference hosted  by UC Davis, focused on current developments on the genetic engineering and gene editing of livestock, poultry and fish.

Conference Highlights

 

  • The 15th TARC will be held from Sunday, August 10, through Thursday morning, August 14, with sessions occurring Monday morning through Wednesday night.

  • Two afternoons from noon to 4 PM and one evening will be free to allow for small group interactions and to take advantage of the great natural beauty and recreational activities in the Lake Tahoe area.

  • 24 to 26 invited presentations and submitted posters. Oral presentations are by invitation, with participants encouraged to contribute poster presentations.

  • Students presenting posters will be eligible for the John Clark Student Poster Award, sponsored by the Roslin Institute.

Submit your poster abstract by Thursday, July 18, to be considered. Recipients will be chosen based on abstract submission.

The 15th Transgenic Animal Research Conference (TARC) brings together representatives from the leading laboratories worldwide who are doing cutting edge research on transgenesis and gene editing in non-murine animals, including livestock, fish and poultry species. This conference brings together scientists to discuss progress, problems, policy and potential applications of transgenic and gene editing technology for animal applications.

Scientists working in the fields of genetic engineering and gene editing in agricultural species, federal regulators and livestock producers.
