General logistics during the institute
- Food: Light refreshments and lunch will be provided from Tuesday through Thursday with a Tuesday evening reception.
- Laptop Required: The CIML Summer Institute is designed as hand-on program and does require that you bring a laptop with administrative privileges and wireless connectivity. Wireless is available to all attendees through UC San Diego GUEST network and eduroam.
- Remote participation: Remote participation is not available.

Parking
Parking permits are required on the UC San Diego campus seven days a week: Monday-Friday from 7:00am to 11:00pm, and Saturday-Sunday from 10:30am to 11:00pm.
- Permits may be purchased online through the Transportation & Parking Services website or via the ParkMobile App.
- Visiting UC faculty and staff who hold annual permits at their home campuses are eligible for up to 5 consecutive days of complimentary parking at UC San Diego. Visit for more details: https://transportation.ucsd.edu/visit/visitor/reciprocity.html.
- The most convenient parking location closest to the meeting location is the Hopkins parking structure located on Hopkins Dr. and Voigt Dr, just south of SDSC

- How to pay using Park Mobile App
- Conference Services guests park in any B or S parking space in a campus parking lot.
- Enter zone number 47800.
- Confirm your information, including location, license plate, time and cost.
- "V" (White) spaces at $32/day (Park Mobile enter zone number 4752)
- Parking legally is the attendee’s responsibility. The penalty for an improperly parked car is at least $65 per day. We cannot be held responsible for citations issued for parking in an incorrect space or improperly displaying your permit.
- Due to challenges with parking on-campus, we do advise using other methods such as some noted below if possible.

Housing accommodations for R&B Scholarship participants is offered through UC San Diego Guest Housing.

- Check-in Date and Time: Monday, June 23, at 4:00 pm (Pacific Time)
- If your arrival time is after 11 pm PT, please get in touch with the HDH contact person in advance to ensure someone is onsite to check you in.
