LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Appropriately prescribe the latest in HIV medications, considering risk/side effects and other factors
  • Apply the latest updates in the IDSA HIV Primary Care Guidelines
  • Diagnose and utilize latest treatments for common and the newest STIs
  • Utilize the latest treatments in gender-affirming hormone therapy and describe new gender-affirming surgical procedures
  • Clarify myths surrounding medication use, imaging, viral hepatitis and complications related to liver disease to appropriately treat patients
  • Implement strategies to create an inclusive space for LGBTQ+ patients
