Join MITRE for a moderated panel discussion, China & Russia: Strategic Dynamics, on Friday, February 7, 10-11:30 a.m. ET.
The featured speakers include Rear Admiral Mike Studeman, USN (Ret.), former Commander of the Office of Naval Intelligence and MITRE’s National Security Fellow; and Matt Sollenberger, former CIA senior analyst and expert on the Russia-Ukraine war at the National Intelligence Council, now a Principal Analyst at MITRE. Dr. Chris Bassler, MITRE’s Cross-Cutting Priority Director, Integrated Deterrence, will moderate.

Mike and Matt have almost fifty years of collective experience in senior advisory positions in government covering China, Russia, and other geostrategic crises. They’ll discuss their perspectives on:
- the state of great power strategic rivalry between the West, China, and Russia
- major challenges and opportunities facing Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin
- likely reactions to policy positions of the new administration
- what to expect for U.S. relations with China and Russia in 2025
This hybrid event is co-hosted by MITRE's Center for Strategic Competition (CSC) and the MITRE National Security Sector (MNS).
