CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
Submission Deadline: 12 noon PST on Tuesday, November 11, 2025
The planning committee for the 2026 Pacific Northwest Bridge Maintenance Conference welcomes proposals for presentations during the event, taking place from April 14–16, 2026, at the Seaside Civic & Convention Center, in Seaside, Oregon. Proposals that relate to the conference theme, “Bridging the Gap: Advancing Maintenance Practices” are encouraged and will receive priority.
CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the Pacific Northwest Bridge Maintenance Conference is to provide a forum for bridge maintenance crews to share information, innovations, creative ideas, and tricks of the trade to maintain our highway structures including bridges, sign structures, retaining walls, culverts, and tunnels. Topics include maintenance procedures, standards and safety, emergency response, prioritizing maintenance repairs, deck joint repair, new repair methods and materials, environmental constraints, cyclic maintenance, tunnel maintenance, and "fix it first" strategies.
CONSIDERATIONS
- Presentations may be either 15 or 30 minutes long, including time for discussion and questions. Proposers will indicate their preference during the submission process.
- It is understood that the person who submits a proposal intends to participate in the presentation.
- Proposers are asked to communicate with all co-presenters regarding their interest and availability prior to submitting a proposal.
- Everyone who presents on the program, including co-presenters, are expected to register in advance for, and attend the full conference.
- Proposers agree to present on any day of the conference should their proposal be accepted.
- This conference is an in-person event. Proposals for remote presentations will not be considered.
- Proposals of a commercial nature that promote products or services will not be considered.
PROPOSAL DETAILS
- Proposals must be submitted via the online submission portal. Proposals sent by mail will not be considered.
- A complete proposal includes:
(1) Contact information for the proposer and all co-presenters.
(2) A brief biography of the proposer and any co-presenters (250-word maximum per bio).
(3) The title of the presentation.
(4) A brief description of the presentation (250-word maximum). - Once you have assembled all required materials, click the “Submit A Presentation” button below to begin the submission process. Important: Once a proposal has been submitted, it may not be edited, thus, it is crucial for the submitter to gather all required materials prior to beginning a submission.

To acknowledge their contribution to the program:
- The primary presenter (the person who submits the proposal) will receive a complimentary registration.
- All presenters and co-presenters invited via this Call will receive a heavyweight hooded sweatshirt featuring the conference logo:
BEST PRESENTATION AWARD
- One conference presentation is recognized through a peer voting process to receive the Best Presentation Award.
- The top presentation recipient receives a certificate, plaque, and will be invited to present at the Western Bridge Preservation Partnership in the spring of 2027, with travel and registration for up to two presenters sponsored by the PNW Bridge Maintenance Conference.
TIMELINE
- Proposals must be submitted by 12 noon Pacific Standard Time on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
- Proposers will be notified of their status by Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
- Accepted presenters must confirm their participation by registering for the conference by Thursday, January 15, 2026.
