Please mark your calendar for November of 2025 for the 22nd Texas Energy Summit!
Organized by the Energy Systems Laboratory, a division of the Texas A&M University System’s Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, the 2025 Summit will be hosted at the Texas Capitol in Austin.
The focus of the Summit is the intersection of air quality and energy systems, all energy systems: the grid, transportation, oil and gas, and industrial. We design the Summit sessions to lead to actionable next steps to improve air quality in Texas. Summit participants hear from and work with experts in the technologies, policies, and programs that accelerate emissions reductions, and collaborate to accelerate needed changes to clean the air.
Our attendees are a diverse group from government, industry, academia, and non-profit organizations. With sessions on energy management, renewable energy, storage, zero emission fleets, sustainability, and resiliency, you don't want to miss this event! We explore policies and programs that improve air quality, foster economic development, advance new technologies, and reduce costs and waste.
The goal is to not only inform the audience, but also to identify next actions to advance policies and projects that can materially benefit Texans.
We look forward to seeing you in 2025!
Joining us in 2024, Dana brings to the Summit 20 years of experience in the energy sector and consulting across industry, NGOs, and government. She founded Juniper Advisory Group in 2021 to help clients working to solve complex energy, environmental, and social challenges. She previously served as the Executive Director of the Texas Energy Poverty Research Institute, advancing solutions for affordable, reliable, and clean energy to underserved communities. She brings experience from an early career in supply chain management consulting and subsequent leadership positions in two energy technology start-ups. She is a Marshall Memorial Fellow of the German Marshall Fund of the United States, an Energy Transition Fellow of the University of Texas at Austin’s Energy Institute, and a previous winner of the Austin Under 40 Award for Energy, Sustainability, and Transportation. She previously served as the chair of the City of Austin Resource Management Commission and currently serves on the Research Advisory Board of the American Council for An Energy Efficient Economy in Washington, D.C.
The Summit, now in its 21st year, continues to focus on the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan, and in particular air quality and public health improvements from energy efficiency, renewable energy, electrification, and other clean energy technologies and strategies. The Texas Energy Summit has long emphasized the importance of energy management, with special attention on the public sector. The Summit provides attendees the opportunity to network and engage with industry experts, state and local policymakers, business leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers, facility and energy managers, utility and energy service experts, and more in conversation about cleaner air, a better built environment, and the Texas economy.
Keynote talks, plenary panels, and breakout sessions will occur on the first two days with workshops on the final day. Plenary panels and breakout sessions are around one hour with 30 minutes each for presentations and discussion/Q&A. Workshops can go much deeper lasting 2-3 hours and usually with smaller groups.
