CPS is dedicated to providing a welcoming, respectful, safe, and accessible environment for all conference attendees. We’d like to make your stay a bit more comfortable by offering these services at the conference.
The Québec City Convention Centre provides a safe, secure and private space for parents. The breastfeeding/nursing space is located on level 3 of the Québec City Convention Centre, between Foyer 3 and Hall 300. It features three private cubicles with side tables and sofas, a changing table, a microwave, a diaper disposal bin, sanitizer, a water fountain with cups, and other amenities for your comfort.
Babies younger than 2 years old may accompany registered attendees into conference sessions, workshops, exhibition, co-developed sessions, and other activities, provided they are in a carrier and supervised at all times. When babies fuss or become a distraction for others, parents should step out of the room with them. Exceptions may apply, so we encourage attendees reach out and discuss specific needs with CPS conference staff.
For reasons of safety and security, conference sessions and exhibits are for registered attendees aged 18 years and older, unless otherwise noted. No child-minding facilities are provided on site, but hotel concierges can direct you to family care services, if needed.
Our team has been working closely with the catering team to ensure a variety of food options are available to suit your preferences. We have made arrangements to accommodate dietary needs such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and other common preferences. If you have allergies, please email us at meetings@cps.ca.
However, we cannot guarantee that menu items are free of trace amounts of allergens or other ingredients.
A quiet room will be made available for conference participants and guests who need time for reflection, meditation or prayer. All are welcome, and worship mats are provided. Running water is readily available in nearby restrooms.
The CPS conference is a scent-free event. Please refrain from wearing cologne, perfume or other scented products.
The CPS strives to ensure that all educational and social events are fully accessible. If you have special needs or requests, contact the Education Department before the conference at 613-526-9397 ext. 248, or bring them to the attention of registration staff on site.
