TARGET AUDIENCE

This educational activity has been designed to deliver up-to-date education to optometrists who provide primary care optometry services, including but not limited to medical optometric services.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

After completing this activity, participants should be better able to: [LIST] [ITEM]Diagnose and treat a range of ocular surface diseases including, dry eye, blepharitis, meibomian gland disease, and neurotrophic keratitis. [ITEM] Identify ideal candidates for a broad menu of IOL technologies. [ITEM]Identify best practices in the diagnose and management of patients with retinal disease.[ITEM]Outline steps involved in the advanced procedures that can now be performed in optometric practice. [ITEM] Utilize the latest technologies and treatments to manage myopia. [ITEM]Explain ways that advanced imaging can be used to differentiate and manage posterior segment disease.[ITEM]Evaluate and compare current and emerging corneal disease management strategies, including their indications, benefits, and perioperative considerations.
