Travel Grants & Hotel Assistance

Application Guidelines

MHI and MHEFI award a limited number of schools or individuals with travel grants or stipends to help offset the cost of travel to ProMat 2025. Funds will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis for applicants meeting the requirements. Approvals will be communicated by email. 

Upon notification of approval, all student names and emails must be submitted in the registration system by the deadline date shown below to receive the grant/stipend. Names submitted after the deadline will not be considered toward the final payment amount.

Travel Grant

Qualification: Schools over 100+ miles away from Chicago McCormick Place Convention Center
Schools or individuals can apply for a travel grant of $250 per person for up to 15 students and faculty members for a maximum payment of $3,750.  You may register more than 15 students to attend. A maximum of one grant is awarded per school. 

Travel Stipend

Qualifications: Schools under 100 miles from Chicago McCormick Place Convention Center 
Schools will receive a $250 travel stipend. To qualify for the stipend, at least 5 students must be registered and attend the event. Individual students and educators may also request a travel stipend if they are 18+ years old or older and traveling alone. No more than 10 individual travel stipends will be accepted from individuals from the same school. 

Travel Grants and stipends are subject to staff review and approval. 

Reimbursement

Grants/Stipends will be sent by check or electronic funds transfer and disbursed after April 1, 2025. Payment will be made according to the information provided on the application only. There are no exceptions. The final payment is based on registration names provided by the deadline date and confirmation of the badge scanned on Student Day. 

Hotel Accommodations

We have limited special rate hotel rooms for students and schools needing financial assistance. Hotel rooms are on a first-come, first-served basis. All names MUST be supplied in the Hotel Rooming List Form by February 9, 2024.
