Call for Papers: Deadline August 1, 2025

3rd Annual 3V's Business Innovation Award Contest 

In recognition of Art Mesher’s influential 3V’s Framework, CSCMP’s Supply Chain Xchange proudly announces the commencement of its 3rd Annual 3V's Innovation Award Contest.

Mesher’s framework, known as "The 3 V’s of Supply Chain," has significantly impacted the discipline of supply chain management by emphasizing the importance of visibility, variability, and velocity.

This live competition will feature three (3) finalists presenting in front of a panel of distinguished industry judges in the Innovation Theater, sponsored by KNAPP, at EDGE 2025 on Monday, October 6. The session will be hosted by Art Mesher himself, alongside Rick Blasgen, former President and CEO of CSCMP.

How to Enter?

For the competition, each participant will present their company’s most impactful application of Art Mesher’s 3V’s framework—demonstrating how they’ve leveraged Visibility, Variability, and Velocity to drive innovation and measurable results in supply chain performance.

Three (3) finalists will be selected and invited to attend EDGE 2025 in National Harbor, Maryland—just minutes from Washington, D.C.

Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email that your paper has been received. 

Decision date: August 18, 2025

• We will contact the finalists the week of August 18th with a formal invitation to attend the EDGE conference in National Harbor, Maryland for the awards contest and the winner's announcement.
• Each finalist will receive a 7-minute presentation session in our Innovation Theater to present their company's best use of the 3V's framework.
• Each finalist’s theater presentation will be evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges.
• The winners will then be recognized and presented with their awards which will include:
  • A one-year CSCMP Premier Membership
  • A press release announcing their accomplishment will be sent to CSCMP, Supply Chain Xchange, and DC Velocity audiences.
• Presentations and announcements will be recorded and broadcast post-event to over 200,000 supply chain leaders through the prestigious supply chain & logistics magazines Supply Chain Xchange and DC Velocity.
