Let's Educate Capitol Hill!

During Age+Action, attendees will have the opportunity to educate Members of Congress about their programs serving older adults and how local constituents can access these important services. In the meetings, attendees can share stories of how their programs improved the lives of local constituents. Let’s educate Congress about the vibrant programs serving older adults every day.

If you're interested in participating, please sign up for Hill Day when you register. There is no extra cost to participate, and in 2024 over 200 of your peers took advantage of this opportunity!

Important Travel Information

To participate in Hill Day 2025, please plan to arrive on either Monday, May 26, or by the morning of Tuesday, May 27, in time for the rally, which begins at 11:00 a.m. NOTE: We encourage early arrival (doors open at 10:00 a.m.) to gather materials and receive last-minute help on the mobile app.

NCOA will provide:

Training
Leading up to the 2025 Hill Day, we will host Zoom calls with different time offerings to accommodate varying schedules. These calls will cover what to expect during the meetings, tips for conducting the meetings, and how storytelling is a great method to explain a program.
Scheduling
NCOA is working with Advocacy Associates to schedule meetings for all participants. They will contact your members of Congress and arrange meetings on your behalf.
Mobile App
The week before Hill Day, you will receive access to a free mobile app to see your list of scheduled meetings and get real-time updates. The app also includes maps of Capitol Hill, tips on getting around, and chat, so you can coordinate with other participants.
Pre-Event Rally
On May 27, we will kick off Hill Day at 11 a.m. with lunch and a rally. You will receive your meeting schedule, maps of Capitol Hill and folders with issue briefs that you can leave behind during your meetings. At this gathering you will connect with others working to support older adults. NOTE: We encourage early arrival (doors open at 10:00 a.m.) to gather materials and receive last-minute help on the mobile app.
Transportation
At 12:00 p.m., we will board buses and head to Capitol Hill to take our group picture and then proceed to our meetings. At 5:00 p.m., we board buses to return to the hotel!
