The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) is pleased to announce a Call for Research Poster Abstracts for the 77th Bleeding Disorders Conference.

NBDF is seeking to showcase important research currently being conducted by physicians, researchers, nurses, physical therapists, social workers, and other allied healthcare professionals in the field of coagulation disorders. We encourage all members of the community to submit poster abstracts in the following categories:

  • Biomedical/Coagulation Research
  • Clinical Research/Clinical Trials
  • Collaboration/Team Models
  • Inhibitors
  • Law/Ethics/Health Policy
  • New Products
  • Orthopedic and Physical Therapy
  • Peer Support/Outreach/Integration Models
  • Psychosocial Issues
  • Quality of Life/Outcomes Research
  • Women’s Research

The deadline for submission is Thursday, May 1, 2025.

The benefits of submitting a research poster abstract are:

  • Research posters will be prominently displayed during NBDF’s 77th Bleeding Disorders Conference in Aurora, CO.
  • Approved abstracts will be available on the conference app throughout the event and posted on the NBDF website once the conference has ended. NBDF’s Bleeding Disorders Conferences average an attendance of 2,500 people, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, industry representatives, NBDF chapters, patients, and families.

General Instructions for Submitting Your Research Poster Abstract Online:

1. Create an Account:

If you have never accessed this vendor’s website before, you will need to first create an account.

2. Prepare Abstract:

After registering, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your login details. All abstracts must be formatted as follows (please be as specific and thorough as possible in each instance):

  • Objective
  • Methods
  • Summary (of results obtained)
  • Conclusions (it will not be sufficient to state – “results forthcoming”)

All abstracts must be 450 words or less. It is not recommended that the abstract include graphs or a chart but, if necessary, charts will need to be uploaded as JPG or PDF files and fit within the maximum file size: 2 MB. If your abstract is approved, then graphs and charts should be included in your final poster.

3. Submit Abstract Online:

After preparing your abstract, log back in to the website and complete your submission following the instructions provided.

Important Information:

  • You will be able to make multiple submissions, append an existing submission, or finish the submission at a later time.
  • Abstracts that have been previously presented elsewhere (i.e., encores) are permitted.
  • Please be sure to submit your abstract by midnight Eastern Time, Thursday, May 1, 2025. Alterations or revisions may be made up until this date.
  • Individuals who submit abstracts will be notified on Friday, June 6, 2025, about the decisions made by NBDF’s peer review committee.
  • If your abstract is accepted by the peer review committee, then one of the authors must attend the conference to present the findings. There is no virtual option.
