Yes. The registration deadline is Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:59PM EST. Please coordinate with your local chapter to register for Washington Days.
 
No. There will be no registration on-site. We anticipate that Washington Days will be a full-capacity event. Pre-registration is required to attend and to join the appointment with your representatives.
 
No. Washington Days 2025 is a fully in-person event this year.
 
No. There will be no recording of sessions.
 
NBDF is committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for all of our community members: consumers, chapters, providers, presenters, exhibitors, and staff. However, while vaccinations, negative COVID tests, observance of safety protocols, and exercise of personal discipline may reduce risk, an inherent risk of exposure to infectious disease does remain in any public place where people are present. No. Airfare or any travel expenses are not covered by NBDF.
 
However, we have partnered with Delta, United, and Southwest Airlines to offer discounts and/or additional rewards points for flights to attend Washington Days via DCA, IAD, or BWI airports. Click here for more information on how to book discounted airfare.
 
NBDF only covers one (1) hotel room for two (2) nights per chapter. A private registration link has been sent to the chapters' Executive Directors for the NBDF-covered hotel accommodations.
 
For general attendees and industry partners, NBDF has secured a room block at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill at a discounted nightly rate of $265++ — the same rate as last year! Please use the link in your registration confirmation email to make your reservations. Note that if you book a room using the reservations link, you are responsible for paying room and taxes for the duration of your hotel stay. A credit card is required to guarantee the room reservation. There is no charge or hold placed on the card until check-in/out on property or in case of no-show or not cancelling within the designated cancellation period. 
 
We are glad you will be attending Washington Days! A training webinar will be on Friday, February 21, from 1:00 PM to 2:00PM (EST). Details and a Zoom link will be sent in an email. Returning attendees' training webinar is also scheduled for the same day from 2:30PM to 3:00PM (EST).
 
General attendees must arrive on Wednesday, March 5, in time for the training at 5:00PM at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. Separate information will be sent for chapter and industry representatives for the SBAC Luncheon and Industry Stakeholders' Meeting.
 
You must complete the registration for Washington Days and provide your correct home address to ensure we contact the appropriate representation. Appointments are scheduled on Thursday, March 6. You will receive your meeting schedules by February 2025.
 

To maintain a respectful and inclusive environment, we ask that attendees avoid wearing clothing with political messages during Washington Days. Thank you for helping us keep the focus on our shared advocacy goals. Please dress appropriately. Photos will be taken throughout the meeting days and posted on NBDF's social media platforms. Bring a sweater or light jacket, as hotel meeting rooms tend to be cold at times.

  • On training days, March 5 & 7 - casual
  • On March 6 - business casual (no sweatshirts/hoodies, no caps/beanies)
Can my child also attend Washington Days and meet with our representative?
Children are welcome to attend Washington Days. They need to be registered as General Attendee. If you are completing the registration on their behalf, please enter their information. We will gladly provide a school absence excuse letter, please email Mariana Peña at mpena@bleeding.org.
 
No. NBDF's Washington Days is designed for individuals affected by bleeding disorders and their families. Though we value our relationship with those in the industry and invite them to attend the training portions of this program (Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Friday morning), we are reserving the day on the Hill, Thursday, March 6, 2025, for consumers and their families only. There will be an advocacy stakeholder meeting with industry partners on Wednesday, March 5 at the hotel.
 
No, there is no transportation from the hotel to the Hill. Washington Days hotel is located on Capitol Hill. The walk from the hotel to the Hill is approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on where your appointment is held. If you have any mobility restrictions, please contact Mariana Peña at mpena@bleeding.org.
 
NBDF will provide the following meals at the hotel:
  • Wednesday, March 5 – Buffet Dinner 
  • Thursday, March 6
    • Breakfast pastries, coffee, tea, and juice
    • Buffet Dinner
  • Friday, March 7 – Breakfast pastries, coffee, tea, and juice
A mobile app* will be made available to all advocates that will enable them to:
  • view meeting schedules and receive notifications
  • take notes about meetings
  • reference talking points
  • view leave behinds and email them to congressional staff
  • research legislators' bios, voting records, news, social media pages, and more
  • research bills of interest (status, currents sponsors and co-sponsors, summary)
  • send thank you notes to congressional staff
