When you registered for Team In Training, you committed to raising lifesaving funds in return for your participation in the TCS New York City Marathon event weekend. Your commitment response will let your Team In Training staff know your decision to complete or drop from the season. If you choose to continue the season, you are pledging to LLS to meet your fundraising commitment and participate in your event. For more information, click here.
The NYC Marathon Fundraising Commitment includes:
For the TCS New York City Marathon, your personal Team In Training fundraising account must contain, at a minimum, the fundraising commitment amount you selected and confirmed during commitment, by 11:59 p.m. PT on Monday, Nov. 3, 2025. In the event your fundraising commitment amount has not been reached by this time, the credit card you securely provide during commitment will be charged for the difference between what you have raised and the fundraising commitment amount you agreed to raise.
If you are unable to continue this year with your fundraising and training, there will be a link in the commitment invitation email for you to click on. This will let us know you'll be discontinuing your participation this season and will save you from receiving reminder emails and calls in the future regarding this event.
For any teammate who has already signed the Fundraising Commitment Agreement and completed their race registration (including paying NYRR the fee) and then is no longer able to complete the race for any reason, please reach out to our staff at TNTRunWalk@lls.org to discuss.
According to NYRR, the race registration portal may not be available to charity runners until late March/early April. As soon as it becomes available, teammates who have completed the Fundraising Commitment Agreement & Event Weekend Selections step will receive an email with instructions to officially purchase and register for their race bib. Once you receive the race registration email, you MUST complete registration within (3) three business days.
Please note: NYRR requires all runners to pay a fee directly to NYRR during the race registration process; this is not a fee that can be covered by the charity. The fee is $255 for NYRR members and $315 for non-members.
After you submit your Commitment and Event Details Form, you will receive a confirmation email with your event selections and commitment response.
