Terra 2022

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How are registered attendees accessing the virtual congress platform?

Terra 2022 will be a hybrid Congress, with both in-person and virtual presentation options. We will be using the online event platform Whova to run select live and recorded sessions and to view posters, videos and digital media that presenters upload to the platform. Virtual and in-person attendees are encouraged to engage in communication and networking via the Whova App or website to make Terra 2022 an educational and interactive experience. Click here to access the Terra 2022 Virtual Conference Platform User Guide. Only registered and paid attendees can access the platform.

Is it still possible to submit an abstract or change the presentation type of a submission (e.g. from a poster to an oral presentation)?

Thank you for your interest in presenting at Terra 2022. Unfortunately, after eight months of review by our scientific committee, we have finalized the slate of presentations for Terra 2022. We are unable to accept any more submissions to our program at this stage. If you were selected as a poster or video/digital media presentation, we hope that you will still present your work in this format. Due to restrictions of our program, we are unable to accommodate any new oral presentations.

Can the Conference Organizers support participants to acquire a United States visa?

We are unable to provide direct assistance with acquiring a United States visa. However, we will happily provide a formal letter of support indicating the purpose and importance of the conference that you can include in any visa application. Click here for information on how to enter the United States with a visa or through the Visa Waiver Program.

How is the conference responding to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic?

The Terra 2022 Partners will be following the guidance of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure that the conference meets all requirements for health and safety, and prioritizes the safety of all participants and the local community. We will provide updates as needed on the Congress website and via email to registrants. Click here for the Covid-19 Safety Policies updated on May 23, 2022.

When will presentation guidelines be provided?

We have already provided presentation guidelines for all video and digital media presenters and papers. We will send presentation guidelines for posters in fall 2021 and for oral presentations in winter 2021.

Will there be affordable options for accommodations available during the conference?

Yes. We have worked with local hotels to secure hotel blocks at a reasonable rate ($119 - $219 USD per night). You may be able to book your hotel accommodations now. See “Lodging and Transportation” for additional information about the hotels available at the Congress rate and how to book.

Suggested Dress

Santa Fe can be very hot during the day at this time of year, but evenings can be cool, as can indoor spaces with air conditioning. Trying to find a room temperature at which everyone can be comfortable is nearly impossible. Therefore, we highly recommend you bring a sweater and light jacket and dress in layers so you can adjust accordingly.
