The deadline for student case reports, for this year's student program, is January 1, 2025. Submissions will be reviewed and the commitee will select case reports to display. All students will be notified by January 22, 2025 if their research poster will be included in the program. The top 3 case reports will be awarded at the conference. Additionally, the top case report will be presented prior to the student quiz bowl.
Student Program
The student program of the ATSNJ Conference aims to stimulate and expand the knowledge of athletic training not found in textbooks. The lecturers and panelists all provide information for the students in order to become well rounded and diverse clinicians. Chris Flores of FLO Fitness will discuss Animal Flow, a movement training involving the entire body and mind to stimulate both. Betsy Esposito and Luis Torres will be lecturing about breathing and calming techniques for students to calm themselves for the crucial parts of life during BOC prep and interviews at the beginning of their careers. Ken Cieslak’s unique background as a chiropractor and athletic trainer allows him to give an in-depth lecture on the lower back. The panel will be comprised of Hall of Famers, who will be providing insight and advice to the students on their monumental careers and paths to success. The Quiz Bowl will follow, with one student from each New Jersey school competing for the bragging rights of the state schools until next year. Following, the AT Olympics is back, allowing students from each school to go head to head in competitions like crutch racing, pre wrap mummy, and blindfold taping.
