TOWARD RESILIENCY IN U.S. CRITICAL SUPPLY CHAINS

Supply chain is the new battlefield, the intersection of risk and resiliency. In the past few years, particularly since the pandemic brought to light vulnerabilities in the supply-chain resiliency, supply chain has become a nation-state challenge. The world has changed, emerging threats are more comprehensive, and they require a new role from the federal government enabled by data.

There remains a lack of consensus across government, industry and allied partners about how to navigate the difficult tradeoffs between resiliency and profit optimization, speed and security, protective trade regulations and competitive leadership, strategic industrial policy and economic diversity.

MITRE will host a supply chain summit in McLean, VA, on 20 November 2024. This conference will bring together leaders from government, industry, and academia to discuss national-level issues related to supply chain resiliency. The summit’s findings will inform MITRE’s white paper for the next administration on the nation’s need for improvements in supply chain resilience.

Plan to join us for an interdisciplinary Supply Chain Risk Management summit on three ambitious goals.

  • National strategy for supply chain resilience
  • Essential partnerships across industry, government, and the research community
  • Foundational data for measuring, targeting, and improving national supply chain resilience

This event is not open to the press.

The persistent challenge facing the US supply-chain system is developing a shared vision and commitment to resiliency enabled by new data solutions that align diverse public and private sector stakeholders
