Mexico no longer requires travelers to fill out a Mexico Immigration Form.
CUSTOMS
Once you have cleared immigration you will proceed down a long corridor to the baggage claim area. Upon retrieving your luggage proceed to customs to hand the form to the customs agent. Each customs line has an x-ray machine where you will have to place all baggage and personal items (carry on, etc) that you have with you, for further inspection, depending on air traffic, this procedure could be skipped but be aware you may have to do it. You are expected to lift your own luggage and retrieve it once it has cleared, a further manual revision of your luggage is lottery based with passengers pressing a button on the “traffic light” which flashes a red or green light: green means "go" and red means "inspection".
ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS
Once finalizing this process walk through a set of glass doors that leads into a hallway where there will be time share agents from various hotels in the destination. DO NOT stop regardless of what is said to you. The people in this hall are strictly there to sell you a time share, they do not have your information and will not provide you with transportation. Follow the hall to the last set of glass doors leading to outside where one of our Amstar staff will be waiting for you.
You can now speed up your entry with the New Passport Control Kiosks, which use facial recognition technology. You may use these automated gates if you:
Have a biometric passport (look for the biometric symbol on your passport cover)
Have at least two blank pages available in your passport
Hold a passport valid for the next 180 days
Are aged 18+ and a citizen of one of the eligible countries, including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and others.
All international visitors receive a Digital Tourist Card online after clearing immigration. For physical copies we recommend using the Fast Track Kiosks for an immediate receipt. If you have any questions about your Tourist Card, ask the immigration officer upon entry.
