Attendance at Summit
Are franchisees required to attend the 2025 Summit?
Yes. One individual with at least 20% ownership of the franchised location(s) must attend the 2025 Summit. To the extent a franchisee needs to obtain an exemption from attending Summit 2025, please download & complete the Exemption Form.
Do I have to attend all four days?
Although Sunday attendance is not mandatory, we kick off the Summit on Sunday, March 16th with Pre-Summit Workshops, Expo Hall and the Welcome Reception - this is your opportunity to learn and connect with your colleagues from across the country!
Monday and Tuesday are required days for franchisees where you’ll attend general sessions and breakout sessions. New for Summit 2025 is a Monday evening Social & Networking Event that you won't want to miss! On Tuesday evening we look forward to you joining us for the Gala festivities. On Wednesday, we will have an exclusive, required, session for renewing Franchisees.
What action do I need to take if I cannot attend Summit?
- If you are a Franchisee who cannot attend Summit and you receive an approved exemption from attending, you may be required to travel to the Franchise Support Center in Scottsdale, Arizona and attend Make-up Sessions (Date TBD). The cost to attend is $250 per day for additional/refresh training (total $750). This fee does NOT include any travel expenses you or your attendees may incur.
- If you do not receive an exemption, you may need to attend Make-up Sessions and be subject to a $400 per day fine (total $1,200) less $200 (total, $1,000) for attending the Make-up Sessions. This fee does NOT include any travel expenses you or your attendees may incur.
- If you do not receive an exemption and do not attend Make-up Sessions, you may be subject to a fine of up to $400 per day (total $1,200) and a default in your file.
If I am unable to attend, can I send my manager to attend the franchisee sessions on my behalf?
The content that will be presented in the franchisee sessions are specific to Franchisees. Therefore, your manager will not be able to attend the session(s) on your behalf.
Registration
What is my penalty if I register after registration closes?
You will be able to register onsite at the Gaylord Texan when the registration desk is open, although if you do not register within the designated online registration timeline, you may incur a fee of $100 due to the added resources needed for onsite registration.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
We understand that situations arise, and plans can change.
If you are a franchisee and need to cancel your registration, you’ll need to provide an exemption form to AnnualFranchiseConference@massageenvy.com by February 17, 2025. Requests submitted after this date may not be reviewed or considered until after the Summit. We will review any exemption request and determine, in our sole discretion, whether such request is approved. Please refer to the previous questions regarding make-up session details.
If a manager needs to cancel a previously completed registration, the franchisee will need to submit a written request prior to February 17, 2025. Requests submitted after this date may not be reviewed or considered until after the Summit.
If any exemption request or cancellation is approved, the credit card that was used will be refunded less any amounts we previously incurred for your registration (e.g., credit card fees).
Credit card refunds can take 5-7 business days to refund after exemption approval. Please note that the 3% credit card fee is
non-refundable. ACH refunds can take up to 30 days to refund after exemption approval. Requests for cancellations and/or refunds to airline or hotel reservations will need to be coordinated through the servicing vendor and not Franchise Support Center ("FSC").
Managers
Why should my manager attend?
The 2024 Summit was a success and feedback showed that the manager rotations were well-received. Due to the success and feedback, we will have a specific manager track again for 2025. Manager rotations will include pre- and post-work that will include suggested action items, follow up recommendations and tips/tricks.
Don't forget, we also have vendor hosted Pre-Summit workshops in the morning on Sunday, March 16, 2025 which are great opportunities for managers to attend for even more content. Additionally, we will have a New Manager session and Advanced Manager session on Sunday.
Regional Award Winners
Who is responsible for registering the Regional Therapist, Esthetician, Stretch Service Provider, and Manager of the Year Award Winner?
All winners are responsible for registering themselves. The registration link will be sent out to the respective winners and associated franchisees.
Is the cost of Summit registration covered for the Therapist, Esthetician, Stretch Service Provider, and Manager of the Year Award Winner?
Yes. Market/Region Therapist, Esthetician, Stretch Service Provider, and Manager of Year Award Winners do not have to pay a Summit Registration fee.
Who do I reach out to if I have any questions about my Market/Region Manager,Therapist,Esthetician, Stretch Service Provider, Manager of the Year Award Winner?

Who is responsible for travel and hotel arrangements for Market/Region Winners?
For the Therapist, Esthetician, and Stretch Service Provider of the Year Award Winners, hotel accommodations for Sunday, March 16th check in and Thursday, March 20th check out will be handled by FSC. We will reach out to you to gather the necessary details. Franchisees are responsible for travel arrangements.
The franchisee is responsible for all travel and hotel arrangements for the Manager of the Year Award Winners.
Will my Manager of the Year Award Winner be able to attend the Appreciation Day?
Yes, Manager of the Year Award Winners can participate and enjoy the activities on Appreciation Day which will be held on Wednesday, March 19th. More details to come.

Am I required to stay at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center?
Attendees are not required to stay at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center. However, the Convention Center, breakout rooms and hotel rooms (hotel room contract rate of $239 + taxes and fees) are accommodating places for teams to eat and meet. The Gaylord Texan will be your one-stop shop for all things needed during the 2025 Massage Envy Performance Summit! The resort is 6 miles from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and will be an easy and convenient place for your team to stay during the entirety of the Summit.
If you are flying Southwest Airlines, the Dallas Love Field airport is about 21 miles away from the hotel venue.
With a ton of things to do such as the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, Historic Grapevine Downtown on Main Street, and Grapevine Mills Mall, you can find some exciting things to do with your team before or after the Summit.
Is there a resort fee?
Yes, there is a $20.00 resort fee plus applicable taxes that will be added to the guest room rate.
What is the cost for onsite parking?
Current per day parking rates at the facility are $45.00 + tax for valet. The current self-parking rate is $25.00 + tax. Attendees receive 50% off currently published self-parking rates (prices for valet and self-parking are subject to change).
What are the onsite dining options?
The Gaylord Texan offers several dining options from Texas barbecue, Italian, or Tex-Mex, there is something for everyone. Be sure to contact the restaurant for reservation requirements.

Dress Code
What is the Summit dress code?
Summit attire is business casual.
What is the Gala Attire?
Black-tie formal attire is encouraged for Gala, but not mandatory.
