ASSEC Conference App
After completing your registration you will be sent an invitation to create an account through the Sched App so you can view the agenda, and select your breakout sessions ahead of time. Selections for breakout presentations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. So be sure to sign up early so you can get into the breakouts that you would like to attend. The app is web-based so you can create your account or sign in on your PC or download the app.

Note: Those attendees who already have an account with Sched App will not need to create a new account, Once you log into your account, you will be given access to create your personal agenda.

Early Registration Discount

To receive the early registration discount, please register online no later than Fri., Jan. 10, 2025

Cancellation Policy
All requests for registration additions, changes, and/or cancellations must be in writing via mail or e-mail and received no later than Friday, January 17, 2025. All cancellations will incur an administrative processing fee of $50.00. No refunds or credits will be made after Friday, January 17, 2025. Refunds will be processed after the conference. No refunds will be issued for those who register but do not attend the conference.

Payment Instructions
Checks and Credit Cards will be accepted for payment. Checks must be received no later than Monday, January 27, 2025. If you are registering online after this date, please pay by credit card. If we have not received your payment by the conference date, you will be asked to pay your balance in full or run the risk of having your registration canceled.

Conference Accessibility/ Special Accommodations
Our goal is to ensure that everyone can fully participate in our event. Reasonable accommodations requests can be made when completing the online registration form.  Please be aware that we strive to meet your needs, but accommodating requests is subject to resource availability. To allow us sufficient time to make arrangements, kindly submit your requests at least two weeks prior to the conference.

Meal Functions and Food Service
Beverage breaks will be served for the pre-conference. A continental breakfast buffet will be served Monday and Wednesday of the full conference, along with a morning beverage service of coffee and hot tea. Attendees will be on their own for lunches. All Full Conference Attendees have one Monday Night Social ticket included with their registration. Additional Social Night tickets can be purchased online until Friday, Jan. 31, 2025. All attendees are invited to attend the Tuesday Awards Breakfast. Additional breakfast tickets can be purchased online, or on-site for guests until Monday, Feb. 3, 2025.

Credit Course Information (Workshop Info to Come )
The conference offers two ways to receive graduate credit and/or CEUs. Credit can be earned by attending a pre-conference class, as well as by attending 15 hours of sessions at the main conference (1 credit per course and 1 credit for the 3 days of the main conference). The pre-conference classes will be graded A-F and the 15 hours of conference time will be pass / no pass. Some classes will include an additional material fee to cover the required materials for the course. This fee will be charged to you at the time of registration.

Responsibility for course instruction, content, and cancellation rests solely with ASSEC. The pre-conference registration fee is $175.00 ($225.00 after January 10th) per course and must be paid with registration. Credit course registration fees DO NOT include the cost of receiving credit from UAA. You may participate in credit courses without receiving credit.  To receive credit, a separate registration and payment will need to be completed onsite at the conference. Each credit is $79.00. 

You must select only one pre-conference credit course to be taken during a two-day session. Credit courses must have a minimum of 10 ppl registered. If the course does not meet the minimum, you will be asked to select another course or will be refunded your course fee.

Consent to Use of Photographic Images
Registration and attendance at, or participation in, the 2025 Alaska Statewide Special Education Conference constitutes an agreement by the registrant to i do Events/ASSECs' use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes.

Parking
For attendees driving in daily, the Hilton offers a daily rate for self-parking at $15.00 per day. Overnight guests of the hotel will be charged $32.00* per day for self-parking. Guests may opt to utilize the Chinook Lot, located across the street. This lot is managed by EasyPark Alaska and is not affiliated with the hotel.
