Program Details

Please join us for this special community education event! Blood cancer patients, survivors, loved ones, healthcare providers and the community at large are welcome to join us. Lunch is provided for registered attendees.

Attendees will learn:

• What types of blood cancers members of the Black community are more likely to be diagnosed with, especially in Flint
• Ways to reduce the risk of some of these cancers
• What to do if you or your loved one is diagnosed
• How to access quality care
• How to identify members of the healthcare team that can assist patients in navigating their care
• Ways to effectively communicate throughout the treatment journey
