The intended audience for this live activity includes dermatologists, dermatology residents, fellows and young practitioners, dermatology nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and other healthcare providers with an interest in treating patients with cutaneous diseases and disorders in persons of all ages and skin types.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Identify the proposed etiology of psoriasis, discoid lupus, hidradenitis suppurativa, and atopic dermatitis.
  • Review the clinical features, biomarkers, diagnostic and histopathological testing required for the differential diagnosis of psoriasis, discoid lupus, hidradenitis suppurativa, and atopic dermatitis.
  • Outline the pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment options available for psoriasis, discoid lupus, hidradenitis suppurativa, and atopic dermatitis.
