211 Leadership Summit Travel Stipend
Local United Way staff and volunteers are invited to apply for a travel stipend to attend this year’s 211 Summit (the “Travel Stipend”). Travel Stipends are intended to reduce costs borne by our Local United Ways. All awarded Travel Stipends will be paid directly to the associated Local United Way and not directly to the applicant. All applications for the Travel Stipend must be submitted during the event registration process, but no later than September 27, 2024, to be considered. Please see the Eligibility Criteria and Rules and Restrictions for more details. Applications are for consideration purposes and do not guarantee approval.
Here’s How to Apply:
During registration for the event, select YES for the Travel Stipend question. If you are selected for a Travel Stipend a member of the United Way Worldwide 211 team will notify you after the September 27 deadline.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Each applicant will apply for their own individual Travel Stipend. The applicant must be a staff member for a Local United Way in order to apply for the Travel Stipend.
- All applicants must submit their application for the Travel Stipend through the event registration process but no later than September 27, 2024.
Travel Stipend Rules and Restrictions:
- Travel Stipend funds can be used to cover transportation, accommodation, and/or other reasonable expenses, as determined by United Way Worldwide in its sole and absolute discretion, that supports the registrant’s ability to travel to the event.
- In order to ensure as many Local United Ways from across the United States participate, Travel Stipends will be limited to two (2) per Local United Way, at $1,000 each to assist with travel costs.
- Applicants will need to pay for all expenses up front. For those who are selected for a Travel Stipend, the Travel Stipend will be distributed after the 211 Summit.
- All Travel Stipends will ultimately be awarded to the Local United Way associated with the applicant. Applicants will not receive the Travel Stipend directly. Applicants may work with their Local United Way for any personal reimbursement, where applicable, per the Local United Way’s reimbursement policies and procedures.
- If you cancel your attendance at the 211 Summit or do not attend the 211 Summit, you will not receive the Travel Stipend and any selection for a Travel Stipend will be automatically revoked.
- Notwithstanding the foregoing, United Way Worldwide reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate its offering of the Travel Stipend at any time without notice.
