What You Need to Know

Lake Tahoe South Shore

There’s a lot to love about South Lake Tahoe. Its vast, clear waters have been the backdrop for movies and TV shows, and its impressive size ranks it among North America’s largest. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America and second deepest in the United States.

The main draw of the south shore is the downtown area. On the Nevada side of the downtown area are four casino resorts. On the California side is the large pedestrian-friendly Heavenly Village which is filled with restaurants, shops, bars, live outdoor music, and the Heavenly Gondola, which runs almost year-round.

Average temperatures in September range between 33–73 Fahrenheit, so make sure to bring a jacket for layering.

Shades of Tahoe Blue Wednesday Dinner Event

We invite you to join us for an evening inspired by the breathtaking beauty of Lake Tahoe. Our theme for the night is 'Shades of Tahoe Blue,' where we'll celebrate the tranquility, elegance, and natural wonder of this stunning destination.

So, what does 'Shades of Tahoe Blue' mean for you? It's an invitation to embrace the colors and spirit of Lake Tahoe in your attire. We encourage you to dress in various shades of blue, from the deepest indigo to the softest baby blue, allowing your outfit to reflect the calming beauty of the lake. So, take a peek into your closet for anything blue—shirts, dresses, pants, suits, you name it! And don't forget those accessories. Blue scarves, hats, shoes, you name it, if it's blue, it's perfect for the occasion.

Whether you're in your favorite jeans or your fanciest attire, as long as you're feeling that blue vibe—in the best possible way, of course—you're ready to join in the fun. Let's paint the town blue together and create some unforgettable memories!

Suggested Dress

Early fall in Lake Tahoe is mostly mild weather. Check out the weather forecast here. The evenings can cool down, as can indoor spaces with air conditioning. Trying to find a room temperature at which everyone can be comfortable is nearly impossible. Therefore, we highly recommend you bring a sweater and light jacket and dress in layers so you can adjust accordingly.

CLE

Due to differences in State requirements, WICSEC is not identifying which workshops may be eligible for CLE. ALL workshops will have a sign-in sheet to prove attendance. In order to obtain CLE credit with your state bar association, you will need to self-report your CLE hours. Please contact your state bar association with any questions.

The scholarship deadline was May 31, 2024. We are excited to award 4 in-person full scholarships and one 'registration only' Honorary Lifetime Member (HLM) scholarship in honor of Darryll Grubbs. Bear Safety

Lake Tahoe is black bear country, and they like it that way. Black bears have called this place home hundreds of thousands of years before even the Washoe Native American Tribe first stepped foot in the area, and as apex predators are deserving of everyone’s respect and consideration.
