Food & Support

SAG
Full SAG Support / Transport Services are onsite to pick up and move you and your bike forward on the course. Look for our vehicles marked SAG if you need assistance.  Typically SAGs will move you to the next forward Rest Stop.  SAG vehicles will not be returning to Start / Finish until the end of the ride sweep. We encourage riders to ride the mostly downhill 12 miles from Spooner Summit rest stop to cross the Finish Line and collect their finisher’s medal. Our 6 Rest Stops  are well stocked with snacks, goodies, water, hydration drinks, bike mechanics, friendly faces, and provide the opportunity to rest and refresh.

  • No personal SAG vehicles on the route please.

Bag Drop Logistics
For your convenience, we offer rider bag drop at select rest stops throughout the course, including Vikingsholm, Gatekeepers, Truckee, and King’s Beach (lunch). Riders may leave a clearly labeled bag at these designated locations for retrieval at the finish line later in the day.

Important Note: Due to route logistics and road closures, bags will not be returned to the finish line until the associated rest stop has officially closed for the day. This means your bag may not arrive back at the finish line until after 5:00 PM, regardless of how early you dropped it off. Please plan accordingly.

The finish line area remains closed to all vehicle traffic until the final rider has crossed the finish line and the afterparty has concluded. If you do not plan to stay at the finish line until evening, please label your bag clearly with your bib number, name, and cell phone number so we can assist with identification and return coordination.

We strongly encourage riders NOT to place valuables (e.g., car keys, wallets, identification, electronics) in their drop bags.

Bike Mechanics
Mechanics will be on duty at the start, finish, and all rest stops with the exception of our ½ Spooner water stop. We recommend bringing a spare tube and inflation device with you. Our emergency support number will be listed on your ride wristband for easy access if you need mechanical support while on the course. However, please keep in mind that our bike mechanics and SAG vehicles may not be equipped to assist with all issues, and some e-bikes do not fit easily on standard bike racks.

Medical
Emergency medical services will be present before, during, and after the ride to attend to any medical emergencies.  We will have our emergency support number listed on your ride wristband for easy access.  For life threatening emergencies call 911 first, then contact Ride Command listed on your wristband.

AMBBR & E-bikes
We welcome e-bikes that are designed for road riding but ask that as a safety precaution you do not use any throttle mechanism during the ride. Be aware that some local ordinances in the Lake Tahoe basin do not allow e-bikes on bike paths.  Don’t forget to be prepared with a fully charged battery and bring your own charging cable. Please keep in mind that our bike mechanics and SAG vehicles may not be equipped to assist with issues and some e-bikes do not fit easily on standard bike racks.

Rest Stops
There will be a variety of snack and hydration options at each rest stop. Items available include fruit, granola bars, salty snacks, cookies and more. In addition, a bag lunch will be served at Kings Beach from 9:30am-2:30pm

After Party
Please join us to celebrate your amazing day cycling around the lake after the ride. Live music, delicious food, partner village and yard games await. Extra meal tickets will be available for purchase for friends and loved ones.
Price: TBA
