A Message from the Chair, Co-chair and Planning Committee

Please join us September 20-21, 2024 at the beautiful Hilton Torrey Pines for the annual Jon A. Kaswick, MD Urology Symposium.

Reunite with colleagues, co-residents, and past mentors from around the country for an interactive and engaging conference. You can look forward to a day and a half of lectures, debates, and clinical presentations designed to provide practical didactics and skills to improve your clinical armamentarium and surgical expertise.

We have heard your feedback for more breakout sessions, hands on courses, and networking opportunities and have curated a day and a half with these items as a central focus.

Please anticipate the following agenda items:

• We welcome experts in our field Dr. Aditya Bagrodia (UCSD), Dr. Anne Cameron (University of Michigan), and Dr. Benjamin Davies (University of Pittsburgh) who will lead didactic sessions, debates, and panel discussions
• “Think Tank” sessions to network with leaders from around the country to share ideas, collaborate, and brainstorm future direction for Kaiser Permanente Urology
• State of the Art models and expert faculty leading Hands-on- Sessions in HoLEP, Renal and testicular Ultrasound, and Transperineal Biopsy
• Breakout and Hands- on- Sessions specifically designed for our Advanced Care practitioners and nursing staff to enhance their skillset and boost their clinical engagement
• Regional updates highlighting research initiatives and exploring ways to maximize clinical efficiency
• Updates from our Interventional Radiology colleagues and how to best collaborate from a multi-disciplinary perspective
• Career and wellness lectures including: Dealing with Surgical complications, setting boundaries and avoiding negative self-talk, and hearing JD/MD perspective on Medical Malpractice
• Private Equity in Urology and what it means for our field
• Welcome session Friday night open to all attendees for a fun and relaxed evening to reunite with colleagues in a beautiful setting
