CME INFORMATION

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Define the expanding spectrum of clinical presentations of infantile hemangioma (IH)
  • Discuss the current mental health crisis in youth and review the data that supports a direct link to smartphone and social media adoption in childhood
  • Explore common factors in elite athletes and common pathways that have been followed to attain elite sports status
  • Recognize when there should be concern and/or consideration for IH treatment
  • Recognize the role Pediatricians play in advocating for healthier tech use and learn techniques to encourage
  • Evaluate different AI technologies and become conversant in making decisions that will positively impact patient
  • Diagnose and manage common pediatric neurologic complaints including headaches, macrocephaly, tics, seizures, concussions and developmental delay
  • Counsel parents on successful strategies to avoid overuse injuries in pre-teen and adolescent athletes
  • Reduce bias and approach AI from an ethical framework when incorporating it into clinical practice
