You have the ability to register for multiple committee meetings, pay fees in advance, and receive a confirmation email. After registering, you will also receive emails regarding important information that will help you prepare for your meeting. One week before the meeting, you will receive your check-in bar code; this will help expedite your check-in on-site when picking up your badge at the ASTM Registration Area. Pre-Meeting Checklist
- Pre-register for Committee(s) Meeting(s) - There is no fee to attend an ASTM Meeting, but one must register (note: meeting registration only, contact hotel for accommodations).
- Pre-registration on the ASTM website saves you time by going directly to the pre-registration counters on-site for badge retrieval
- Pay in advance online for committee activity fees and/or food events to avoid paying on-site
- If unable to pre-register prior to the meeting, registration and payment of fees/events are available on-site

- Review the prior meeting minutes for current committee activities
- Review Ballot Closing Reports, especially those in which you have a particular interest

Transportation and Directions
The Westin Kansas City and The Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center is about 21.4 miles/25 minutes from the Kansas City International Airport.
PUBLIC TRANSIT: Travel from The Kansas International Airport to the The Westin or The Sheraton Kansas City at Crown Center hotels will take an estimated 1 hour and 30 minutes. RideKC operates to and from Kansas City International Airport every day of the week. The regular fare is free at this time. TRANSPORTATION SERVICES: Taxis and rideshare services, including Uber and Lyft, are readily available at The Kansas City International Airport. The estimated fare for a taxi or rideshare to the Crown Center downtown area of Kansas City is between $45 and $55 depending on traffic and availability.

This extensive class provides broad coverage of the specifications, testing, technology, and U.S. regulations related to gasoline. You'll learn about the different types and components of gasoline, octane number, volatility, drivability, as well as product quality control throughout the motor gasoline product value chain. The course covers the ASTM, organization, it’s D02 Committee and D02.A Subcommittee on Gasoline, specifications related to gasoline, gasoline additives, oxygenates, the refining process, the quality and distribution of fuels, and much more.

Workshop: Committee D02 Member Orientation
(Monday) 7:00am - 8:00am CDT
This orientation will include an overview of ASTM and the organization and structure of D02. Learn about your role and responsibilities as a new D02 member. There will be an opportunity to ask questions. All members, especially new members and visitors, are encouraged to attend. The orientation will be presented by Teresa Alleman, Committee D02 First Vice-Chairman.
Workshop: Introduction to the Interlaboratory Study Program (ILS)
(Monday) 12:00pm - 1:00pm CDT
This module is designed to familiarize members with the ILS Program, its features, benefits, capabilities, and the online registration process. Research Reports will also be specifically addressed during the session. This workshop will benefit anyone planning to run (or participate in) an interlaboratory study to generate a precision statement for a new or existing ASTM test method. Presented by ASTM ILS Staff.

ASTM Training and eLearning offers award-winning continuing education courses and industry-leading online training programs. ASTM Proficiency Testing Programs (PTP) are statistical quality assurance programs that enable laboratories to evaluate and improve performance, and maintain and fulfill mandatory accreditation requirements. In addition, the ASTM Lab Services program will be on hand to discuss new offerings; including
Petroleum Reference Materials: Available in a variety of matrices for a wide range of values with reliable accepted reference values and very low estimated uncertainty. Reference materials are validated for accuracy and come with clear and concise Certificates of Analysis.
ASTM Insight SQC: Staff will demonstrate our cloud based SQC solution, ASTM Insight SQC. The software solution is designed around ASTM D6299 and enables laboratories to meet regulatory requirements set forth in 40 CFR 1090. The Alliance for Empowering Women (AFEW) group is hosting an educational Speaker Workshop. This meeting’s guest speaker will be Dr. Jami Wolfe from CMA Consulting. This is an inclusive event open to all ASTM Committee Week registered guests who wish to attend. All are welcome!
Workshop Abstract: Mountains of research demonstrate how vital networking is to your professional and personal development, but most of us don’t have a clue how to network in an effective way or even where to start! In this workshop, attendees will learn effective networking skills and practice perfecting their technique. We will explore networking etiquette, preparation methods, tips for in the moment, and impactful follow-up. Attendees will receive small group coaching and put their skills to use in real time. Speaker BIO: Jami Wolfe, Ph.D., S.P.H.R. Jami believes people make or break a business. That’s why she places an intense focus on understanding each client’s business and/or personal leadership goals and then audits their current skills and processes to help them clearly understand their strengths and root-cause issues that will support or impede their ability to reach those goals. Her varied experience from working internally at a large financial firm and external consulting with Accenture and CMA gives her a unique blend of perspectives that helps her provide insights and action plans from her broad experiences across industries, organization size, and organization levels.
ASTM Member Training and Q&A Session: Handling Negatives at a Meeting and By Ballot
(Wednesday) 12:00pm - 1:00pm CDT
This session will teach members how to effectively move documents from a subcommittee ballot through main committee and Society review. A review of the role of COS (Committee on Standards) is also included; with a special focus on the procedural handling of negative votes throughout the balloting process. Learn to get positive results from negative votes! This will be taught by ASTM Staff.
The Alliance for Empowering Women (AFEW) Social Networking Event
(Wednesday) 6:00pm - 9:00pm CDT
Power up your network with AFEW! Join us at Up-Down KC (101 Southwest Blvd, Kansas City) on Wednesday, June 25th, from 6-9 PM for a night of arcade games, delicious bites, and refreshing drinks. Interlaboratory Studies (ILS) Question and Answer Sessions

In addition to the ILS Workshop schedule above, several ILS Q&A Sessions have been planned with ASTM ILS Staff. Please feel free to drop by and ask questions about, or brainstorm ideas for, your upcoming interlaboratory studies. ILS representatives will also be available to review the status of your current interlaboratory studies and help you plan the next steps. Sessions are open to all, and no appointments are needed.
Members' Guest* Hospitality
ASTM International attendees' guests* (spouses, significant others, etc.) are welcome to join us for breakfast Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 9:30am at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center.
Complimentary Support Services
ASTM meetings offer on-site services from the ASTM staff. We provide photocopying service, audio/visual equipment, and a members' work area with complimentary internet computers and printers during registration hours.

ASTM MEMBERS WORK AREA: ASTM will provide computers with internet connections. This area will also be wireless for your laptop computer. You may visit the ASTM website, apply or renew your membership, order publications or check your email. The complimentary wireless service is limited to the members' work area and the meeting rooms.
Committee Voluntary Activity & Event Fees
Voluntary Activity Fees - Several ASTM committees collect a voluntary fee to support activities associated within the committee such as awards, social events, etc. Each committee determines the amount and encourages your contribution. The fee can be paid during registration. This voluntary contribution is not an ASTM International society fee.
Special Events - If your committee is having an event and collecting fees to attend, you may pay this during registration. Contact your Staff Manager or check in with the registration desk for questions.
In the event you need a refund please refer to the following policies:
Special Event Fee: A refund for a special event fee, which includes banquet functions and/or committee activity, will be honored only if requested 5 business days prior to the event.
Symposium Fee: A refund of the symposium fee will be honored at least 10 business days prior to the workshop.
Activity Fee: A refund for an activity fee may be requested up to the last day of the event.
You will see a refund on your credit card statement within 5 to 10 business days.
In order to request a refund, you can click the modify link provided in your confirmation email. Once in your registration you can deselect that fee and select continue and proceed with the modification or you can select “Cancel Registration.”
