This webinar will tell you what matters most to Ofsted inspectors when they look at safeguarding on inspection under the Education Inspection Framework (EIF).
Safeguarding is a big, and ever increasing, focus of an Ofsted inspection and we will consider what safeguarding should mean for your learners and staff and what activities inspectors might carry out to evaluate your safeguarding arrangements – as well as the questions they might ask you. We will also examine some of the key current safeguarding themes that Ofsted inspectors are likely to look at closely within your provision.

At the end of this webinar, you will understand:
- The background context to the inspection of safeguarding by Ofsted;
- Where safeguarding sits within the Education Inspection Framework (EIF);
- Where to find the relevant legislation and useful guidance;
- How particular safeguarding themes are inspected by Ofsted;
- Who inspects safeguarding, and the role of each inspector in doing so on an Ofsted inspection;
- What inspectors are looking for in your learners, staff and managers with regard to safeguarding;
- What activities inspectors might carry out and the questions they might ask you to evaluate your safeguarding arrangements.
