About the Event
The Workshop on Battery Electric and Fuel Cell Vehicle Cooling Systems and Coolant will be held May 7, 2025. The workshop is organized by ASTM Committee D15 on Engine Coolants and Related Fluids, and will be held at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, Toronto, Ontario, Canada in conjunction with the standards development meetings of the committee. The language of the workshop will be English.
Objective and Scope
The presentations at the workshop will be focused on providing information on cooling systems, components and coolants used in battery and fuel cell applications, coolant requirements, coolant challenges, test methodologies, global specifications overview, coolant types, performance tests, and field experience in battery electric and fuel cell applications.

Continuing Education Units
Workshop attendees interested in receiving 0.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) must complete the CEU application form in the back of the program booklet and email it to ASTM Symposia Operations at symposia@astm.org. You must be registered and have attended the entire event in order to receive the CEU’s. A certificate will be sent to you via email approximately 1 to 2 weeks after the workshop concludes.

The Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel has a limited number of rooms at the rate of CAD 275 for U.S. Government employees. The government reservations may be made via our online reservation system, using the blue hyperlink above. You must present your ID at the front desk upon check-in.
U.S. Government foreign per diem rates in Canada are established and set monthly by the Office of Allowances federal government to establish and provide a standardized daily allowance for employees who are required to travel for work-related purposes. The per diem rates vary depending on the destination within Canada, with higher rates typically applied to major cities like Toronto, Vancouver, or Ottawa, where the cost of living is higher. CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY: At the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, cancellations must be made 72 hours (3 days) prior to 11:59 p.m. local hotel time on the day of arrival, or the first night room and tax will be charged.
IMPORTANT! ASTM Rates are non-commissionable. If you book your reservation through a travel agent, they must ask for a non-commissioned ASTM Group Rate. ASTM cannot adjust your higher rate if commissions were paid to a travel agency.
The May Committee Week Hotel provides prime meeting space for your committee meetings, events, and activities. ASTM International is legally bound to fill the contracted guest room block and an inability to fill the block will result in severe financial penalties which could affect negotiations and increase costs for future meetings.
