SUMMIT HIGHLIGHTS

This year's Generation Bridge Leadership Summit starts with registration at The Center for Rural Development, followed by a dinner in downtown Somerset at The Virginia. The Virginia was established as a movie theater in 1922. From its heyday during the Depression as a silent film theater to its revival in the 1970s as a cinema, this theater has brought so much joy to so many in the Somerset community. Friday night will feature Commissioner of Agriculture, Jonathan Shell, as the keynote speaker.  

Saturday begins with a group breakfast at The Center for Rural Development. Following breakfast will be updates from KFB leadership, a legislative panel featuring members from the Kentucky General Assembly, and then your choice of one of four morning educational breakout sessions. The afternoon will feature four educational farm tours chosen online at the time of registration. The 2024 Leadership Summit concludes on Saturday night with a farm tour and dinner at the Buchanan Estate. Enjoy fellowship, cornhole, and live music at the farm operation of Kevin and Gina Buchanan. Set in the picturesque rolling farmland in the community of Eubank, the Buchanans have established a premier Registered Black Angus Cattle operation.
