Matthew Syed

We are delighted to announce our new guest speaker for AELP’s 2024 National Conference, Matthew Syed. Matthew is a former international table tennis champion, turned award-winning author and journalist, and a regular expert on radio and television, commentating on cultural, political and sporting issues. 

With his unique insights drawn from his research into and his books on psychology and performance science, including his own experiences in the world of professional sports, Matthew has become a leading voice on the topic of achieving excellence.

Taking place just one week before the 2024 General Election, the conference promises the opportunity to showcase how #SkillsMeansGrowth.

We are currently updating the agenda to ensure it gives us all the opportunity to shape the future of the skills system ahead of July’s General Election, with new exciting announcements coming soon!
